FAQs.

Can WCJI provide legal advice?

Unfortunately, no. In our day jobs, many of us are criminal defense attorneys, but WCJI is not a law firm, and we can’t provide legal advice to individuals or organizations. You may wish to contact the Oregon Justice Resource Center or Metropolitan Public Defender.

I’m planning a protest, vigil, or other community event. Can WCJI help?

Now you’re talking. We aim to support social justice and BIPOC initiatives in our community.  We have helped other individuals and organizations with events by drafting press releases, providing legal observers, assisting with crowd control, and coordinating with other community organizations.  If you would like our assistance, please use the contact form on our events page and provide as much information about your event as possible.

I have concerning information about a judge, district attorney, sheriff, or law enforcement officer in Washington County.  What should I do?

While we can't give you legal advice about what to do with such information, we are here to listen and strategize against injustice in Washington County.  Please feel free to send information our way.
