Washington County Board of Commissioners - CARES NW and Family Justice Center Co-Location
DA Kevin Barton will provide a presentation on CARES Northwest, the services they provide and the importance of bringing the agency out to Washington County, formally requesting the Board to consider allowing use of the Washington County Consolidated Communication Agency (WCCCA) building to co-locate CARES Northwest and the Family Justice Center of Washington County once vacated. Erin Calvert will provide general information at the end of the presentation on the WCCCA building.
Washington County Board of Commissioners - Sheriff Use-of-Force Review
In view of recent Nation-wide events involving Law Enforcement and use of force, the Sheriff’s Office has contracted for a comprehensive independent assessment of its use of force policies, procedures and training. The assessment will also incorporate stakeholder views (both internal and external stakeholders). There will be opportunity for community members to weigh in, and at the end of the assessment, there will be a series of meetings to discuss outcomes.
